BINAN--Stallion Laguna stretched JPV Marikina's long PFL skid with a 4-1 rout at the Binan Football Stadium on Saturday night.
Playing as the road team due to the unavailability of the Marikina Sports Center, Laguna went ablaze in the second half, especially after Marikina got into the scoresheet, to post its fourth win in seven matches.
It was actually Laguna that struck first in the first half as Jhan-Jhan Melliza struck from just outside the box in the 23rd minute.
Keigo Moriwasu equalized in the 52nd minute as he drilled in a wide open goal from just the interior of the penalty area.
Ko Kyung-Joon put Laguna back up as his header off a corner kick bounced to the post before going inside the goal mouth.
Yannick Tuason then scored a putback in the 75th minute for the 3-1 count before Abou Sy scored the exclamation point in the third minute of stoppage time.
Laguna, now on nine points, is now four points behind Iloilo for third place.
Marikina, on the other hand, stuck in fifth place at six points as the club suffered its seventh straight loss.
