Young female footballers in the Visayas region are invited to tryout for the Philippine U-16 National Football Team from June 24 to 26 at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
The Philippines is hoping to form the best possible team to compete in the 2017 AFC U-16 Women’s Championship qualifiers, scheduled from August 27 to September 4, this year.
Tryouts will be conducted from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on June 24; two sessions on June 25, 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on June 26.
In order to be eligible, players must have been born between January 1, 2001 and December 31, 2003.
The official draw for the qualifiers was completed last month. The Philippines will be playing in Group B, alongside South Korea, India, Malaysia, the Northern Marianas Islands, and Lebanon.
Tryouts in Luzon are scheduled for early next month./
