Of 30 selected from across the country, the U-16 Boys National Pool picked six from Negros Occidental to participate in the month-long football camp in Los Baños, Laguna, from June 5 to July 7.
By the end of the camp, 23 will be selected to form the U-16 national team to compete in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U-16 Championship in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from July 10 to 23.
The boys from Negros selected to participate were Paolo Lance Castijon, Al Kristler de la Cruz, Jason Galve, Nino Jude Melos, Lean Perez, and Jericho Sinconiege.
Also in the pool are players from Bukidnon, Iloilo, Rizal, Cebu, North Cotabato, Zamboanga, and Metro Manila.
Jose Maria Aberasturi is the U-16 head coach./
