Stallion aims to inch closer to UFL title against Nomads

Stallion Sta.Lucia targets to strengthen its lead in the title race of the United Football League Tuesday at the Emperador Stadium in Mckinley Hill in Taguig.
League-leading Stallion battles Nomads at 7:30 p.m. after the Division Two match between Cimarron FC and Forza FC at 5:15 p.m.
Needing a few more points to secure the League title, Stallion wants to nail a victory to inch closer to the championship. The squad has 42 points in 16 matches to lead the table but just a few notches ahead over fellow contender Global FC, which has 40 points in 15 matches.
A triumph for Stallion and a loss for Global in its next match against the Loyola Meralco Sparks on Thursday will put the Ernie Nierras-coached team closer to the League crown.
Meanwhile, Nomads hope to score an upset against Stallion to finally move away from the relegation zone.
Nomads, which has 13 points, need to earn more points to avoid being overtaken by Philippine Army, which has seven points and still has three matches left, at the eighth spot.
In the first match, Division Two teams Cimarron and Forza aim to earn more points to improve their respective campaigns.
The two squads are currently in the middle of the Division Two table, with Forza at fifth place with 18 points and Cimarron at sixth place with 14 points.
AksyonTV, TV5′s 24-hour news and sports-related channel, airs the live coverage of the matches at 5 p.m. on Channel 41 in Metro Manila and Channel 29 in Cebu and Davao.
