  1. Ott and Carli are confirmed?

And if I'm not mistaken, Porteria is also confirmed to be part of the squad. He tweeted something about it during the SEA Games.

  5. Gould is a good player. He's arguable the best strike partner for Phil.

  6. Yup gould is very strong in the air. He used to be second to phi younghusband in goals scored for the country. We wouldnt see araneta in the starting 11 if gould hadnt given up. Looks like you havent been following philippine football.

  7. Gould is good in the air, yes. And thats it. Ive seen him play for the national team on several occasions, and im not impressed.

And who said Gould gave up? After his last game, when Des Bulpin was still coach, Gould wasnt included because of bad form. He wasnt in shape, and thats when the azkals took on a new direction when it came to selecting players. This info regarding Chad came from the staff itself, so no its not just something im saying. Now you have to be in good shape to join the team, unlike before when Gould could just show up and join the team when he wasnt even attached to a club and havent been playing regularly for several months. This is one of the problems with Chad. He never sticks too long with a club, and can go ages without playing for a club. And when he does, he usually plays for a clubs reserves team that is way down in the football pyramid. Its actually beach football that he has stuck on to for a long period, and maybe thats what he should stick to, rather than thinking he is good enough now, specially when the azkals are recruiting better players than him.

I dont think the management have completely given up on him and Chris Greatwich, and theyre taking this game as an opportunity to check them out and see where they stand.

What i find funny is that players like Barbaso is mentioned, when he wasnt found good enough by Weiss to play for the U23, but against Galaxy, he is good enough.

  8. Not impressed? If C Ronaldo plays for us Im sure youll say your not impressed. An out of form Gould is better than Ian Araneta.

And yes, Gould was frustrated with the PFF thats why he did not join the team in the AFF Qualifiers when Palami invited him.

  9. Why should he be frustrated when he plays beach football, and doesnt play regular football? He aint that good that he could "demand" to be with the team.

No, Chad isnt that good, and yes, im not impressed with him. Ian isnt that good either, but difference between them is that Ian plays football every week, and Weiss wants him to be on the team.

I understand Chris Greatwich was disappointed for not getting called up for the WC qualifiers as he has done alot for the team, but Gould is frustrated? Maybe he should start getting fit then, and play some real football.

When it comes to C. Ronaldo, im impressed with what he do every week for Real Madrid, and im also very impressed by Schrock when he plays for the azkals, but Chad? No.

Other than that, the selecting process of the national team isnt how it should be, and we all know that, and there is nothing we can do about it. We would like to see other players replacing the regulars for like instance Ian and Gener, and a couple of others, but we arent in charge.

  10. Btw, an out of form Gould that hasnt played 11aside football for many months, heck, even years, and not been competing in form of a league, is not better than Ian Araneta. Philippines may not be big timers in football, but you really underestimate international football when you say that.

Look at champions league. Who wouldve thought that APOEL Nicosia from Cyprus would lead their group with 9 points, and theyre ahead top european clubs like Zenit from Russia and Porto from Portugal.

  11. Araneta sucks shit what are you talking about? A crummy out of form Gould is better than an in form, fit Araneta that plays regularly. I can bet Topacios scrotum on that.

  12. "Why should he be frustrated when he plays beach football, and doesnt play regular football?"

What the hell you talking about with this "Gould is frustrated"?? About what? And since when? Are you making shit up?!

"I understand Chris Greatwich was disappointed for not getting called up for the WC qualifiers"

You clearly don't have your facts right! Ya Chris was disappointed not getting called up because HE WASN'T AVAILABLE! Not because Weiss thought he wasn't good enough! You're suggesting it's the latter and it's not the case!

"Btw, an out of form Gould that hasnt played 11aside football for many months, heck, even years, and not been competing in form of a league, is not better than Ian Araneta."

Meh!! Out of form? Out of shape? Ya sure. But that doesn't take away the fact that he's technically miles ahead of someone like Araneta. And if you can get him fit (which he was able to during the training camp back in May ahead of the WCQ's), then I'd take that any day of the week and twice on Sundays ahead of "an inform" Araneta.
