THE 11th edition of the annual Cebu Amateur Football Club National Interclub Football Cup kicks off today in three separate venues--University of San Carlos-Technological Center (USC-TC), San Roque and Paref-Springdale.
Hiroshi FC and host USC will face off in the only match of the Men’s Open division in the elimination round at the USC-TC field. The Men’s Open category has drawn only seven teams with defending champion Crazy Horse, who sported the name Doraemon last year, sitting out this year’s edition.
The Boy’s 17 category will have games in two venues; the USC- North Campus will face San Roque FC in the latter’s home pitch, while MTI will face host USC-TC and Danao takes on Paref-Springdale.
In the 40-above division, Hiroshi FC faces off with Erco and Queen City United-A clashes sister team with Queen City United-B. SJSM/3 Bros will also face MTI in the Boys’ 14 division also at San Roque.
In the Boys 12 class at Springdale, Canduman will face the host, while Danao takes on USC-NC in.
Aside from the games, the highlight of the tournament will be the visit of the Azkals on the final day of the tournament at the USC-TC pitch, wherein the national squad will award the winners of the different divisions.
The tournament has drawn around 50 teams in six divisions.
