Isn't that ironic? Will we see a reversal of strategies next time with us attacking and them parking the bus? I hope not as he knows our team inside and out and is still popular here. Has he gotten his license yet?
ReplyDeletetheyre gonna make a big mistake if they hire simon, and im serious.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great PR move, because that's all it is. As much as I'd like to see coach Mc coaching Vietnam, it ain't gonna happen because the team will run into the same problem -- he doesn't have the required license yet.
ReplyDeletenot having the license is the least of his problems. he isnt suitable as a national team coach.
ReplyDeleteVietnam are obviously a much more significant footballing nation than the Philippines. So, McMenemy won't suit them because he's not as experienced as they would like.
ReplyDeleteGUys may I remind u na malaking part yung tinulong ni coach mcmenemy sa big progress ng team Phil, majority of the players are the same lng naman pero nung c coach naging head coach ay naiba na talaga yung azkals......that is not pure luck but I call it talent, mcmenemy is great coach.
ReplyDeletedid you actually ever consider that it was the players who did really well, and not the coach? even if he had the license required he would still be replaced because the management, and specially the players saw that he is not suitable for that kind of a job, and isnt really a good coach. who started it all? it was des bulpin, and simon only came in and didnt do anything remarkable. yes, the azkals made history, not simon. he only happen to be there. thats the true story of this "amazing" coach.
ReplyDeleteEven the greatest players are not ensured of victory.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong. The Azkals are excellent players and maybe it was Des Bulpin who started it all. However, it was Simon who was left to make the decisions on the pitch. He did a good job and that helped bring the Azkals to where they are now.
Simon is not the best coach in the world, and he knows that. But it is undeniable that he contributed a lot to the Azkals too. Let's never forget that.
Good for you, Coach Mac! Good luck and if you make the Vietnam Team coaching spot, or whomsoever coach for that matter, it's not gonna look good in your resume everytime your team would play the Azkals. Nothing personal about it, it's how the Azkals roll.
ReplyDeleteReally, I don't think it matters big style if it was this coach or that coach back then. The one currently running the show has to prove to Philippine Futbol that his system works better than anyone else's.
go coach mcmenemy. i give you credit for what you've done for the azkals, although we are using a different system now. good luck in vietnam. stuff like this always happen in soccer. it's like a soap opera.
ReplyDeleteKagaw says:
ReplyDeleteUntil now everyone is still eating the license BS? LOL...
Does everyone eat what the media says hook, line and sinker?
Kaya siguro wala tayong asenso kasi di tayo marunong maghanap ng kung anong tama...
To repeat for those who still doesn't know...
AFF or AFC doesn't need a license requirement for national competitions.
ONLY CLUB LEVEL COMPETITIONS need a specific set of licensing requirements.
Kahit kunin ng Vietnam si Pacquiao or si Mosley as their national team coach, walang paki ang AFF at AFC...
Ok hindi pa rin alam ng iba dito na tinganggal c Mcmenemy as head coach bcoz the German Football Federation would would give an assistance amounting to millions of dollars to Philippine football pero may condisyon yun at obviously isa dun ay ang pghire ng isang German as head coach=).....by the way the players serves crucial part but they are just the body the head coach on the other hand is the head without the head the body won't go anywhere that is why malaki respeto ko ky coach Simon for giving big impact on the performance of the Azkals.
ReplyDeleteLets see... ill make a list, and lets find out if this is how he contributed.
ReplyDelete1. Showed up to practices hang over after last nights endeavours.
2. Showing up late for practices, players and staff had to wait for him to show up.
3. Showing up to practice with no program whatsoever.
4. Was completely "bobo" when it came to tactics. And by that i mean he had no tactical dispositions at all.
5. After coming to Philippines he already seeked media and had a huge hunger for media attention.
Is this how you create a winning team?
Players and staff didnt think so, so thats why he is gone. Luckily there was a local coach who could coach the players while Simon had to think of a plan or whatnot when he was on the training grounds.
I give credit to the PLAYERS and STAFF, not Simon.
@anoymous: strong words! still needs to be respected...its yours, no problem with that...
ReplyDelete...coach simon said in his past interviews with UK-based papers, that AFC officials will help him to get a license, so definitely there's no problem as to license...but things went so past...and thats it, we tapped german assistance and somehow can help Philippine football..
siguro may baklang nagkatrip kay Coach Simon tapos di nya pinatulan. Ayon, kahit saang article sa internet that talks about Coach Simon, sinisiraan nya doon LOL...
ReplyDeleteHoy baklitang pangit, di mo afford si Coach Simon :D

ReplyDeletegeez what a goat fuck. maybe we all should switch to decaf, huh?
ReplyDeleteHoy bayot, you baks can have him! lol
ReplyDeleteOh is it ms firetruck who is back who had affairs with her uncles and dad? Wow. Geez, seriously people. Stop worshiping Simon as he was the saviour. The players themselves wanted to get rid of him. EOD.
