Ticket distribution

It is only a sleep away from tomorrow's actual game but Negrense and Bacolodnon football fanatics find it hard to secure their paid tickets while others had no idea where to get free admission passes to the match due to some lapses on information dissemination from the Philippine Football Federation (PFF).

Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA) coordinator Pauline Javelona had a hard time calming down Negrenses after the PFF failed to release the tickets as earlier promised yesterday. People had to wait for hours just to get their paid tickets from the football association.

It was only around 6:30 p.m. when Javelona informed those who purchased tickets through NOFA that they could already claim their tickets.

On the other hand, four ticket distribution stations will be put up today in the Panaad Stadium grounds to distribute free admission passes. Bearers of these passes will occupy the open bleachers around the playing venue. However, distribution will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  2. Free Tickets Distribution Scandal.. Prior to start of the game between Team Azkals vs Mongolia, the organizers have already a created a scandal.
You know why? Just this morning I was there in Panaad Stadium as early as 6 am and lined up to secure a free ticket to watch the live game since prior to that the ABS-CBN has announced that there will be 3,000 out of 10,000 free tickets to be given away here in Bacolod at Panaad Stadium at 9am today. At around 10 am I am surprise that suddenly there Police Anti Riot Team mobilized and I thought they will control if stampede and will happen, but I was wrong. Later around 11am the organizer came and announced that there are no more free tickets for distribution.Guess what?? out of around 5,000 people who lined up, "NO ONE" has secured even a free ticket. Its then we realized that the mobilized Anti Riot police is REALLY MEANT FOR RIOT because they already anticipate outrage.. The question is... WHERE DID THE FREE TICKETS GO??? HOTELS?? ORGANIZER'S FRIENDS AND RELATIVES?? OR SPONSOR WHO WANT TO MAKE MONEY FOR THEIR BUSINESS? WHY DID THEY DELAY THEIR ANNOUNCEMENT UNTIL AS LATE AS 11 AM? Its really very disappointing. I heard from other people around that some tickets are freebies when you buy two big bottles of GSM Blue and there are people saying that if you buy a load from SMART at certain amount, you will get a free ticket also. I thought it was only a joke because everyone is already angry and tired of waiting for nothing. When I reached home I was again surprised when my told me that when you buy two big bottles of GSM Blue from Sari Sari Store , you will get free ticket...HUHH!!! Therefore what I heard from the stadium is not only rumor but its true!!! This is entirely "CHEAT" to all Bacolodnons!!!Shame on the organisers. I doubt that this very important and big event will not happen again here in Bacolod just because of what they did. So start your investigation now because tomorrow you will expect chaos and heads will roll...

  3. From the looks of things the PFF has really messed up in handling the ticketing for the match. As much as national team matches should be accessible to all sports fans, the PFF really shouldn't have made the tickets free to prevent a mess like that from happening. In the future I suggest that they sell the general admission tickets for a minimal price (say P100-200 each) and more importantly contract out the ticket selling to a ticketing company like Ticketworld or Ticketnet so that fans can easily purchase tickets at thier nearest SM or National Bookstore outlet instead of having to go to the PFF and be kept guessing if they'll be getting thier "free" tickets or not.

  5. So the people and sponsors who are involved on this messed up should be investigated and and put them in prison if proven guilty. Imagine, free tickets are more accessible in "sari sari" store as free in exchange for sold product/s. If this promotion is not registered then the DTI should file a case against this sponsor/s who are taking advantage of the situation.

  6. My heart bleeds for all those poor fans. It looked like the new PFF would be properly organised and actually care about ordinary people. But as the French say: 'the more things change the more things stay the same'.
The only solution is to emigrate. Could the last Filipino please switch off the lights.
But of course there'll be a brownout.
