THE hard work that Maritoni Trebol and Samantha Chan Su went through paid off when the two were named the Most Valuable Players in the 8th Thirsty Football Cup over the weekend at the Cebu City Sports Center.
The two played for the 17-Under and 19-Under girls teams of the University of San Carlos and won both divisions.
Trebol, 17, who started playing football at the age of 10 with the encouragement from her father and coach Elying Toledo, grabbed the MVP award for the 19-Under division.
