  6. Where's william guerridon?

  7. Do not believe all that you read in the newspapers. Some journalists do not do their work well. It is better to wait for the formal announcement.

  8. The Inquirer story does not even have a complete listing. Only 5 names were mentioned.

  9. Some player were not included in the original 30 or 31 players list submitted to the AFC in January even before the tryouts so it is possible that players like William Guerridon will not make the Feb. 9 game but might make it in future games.

  10. I kinda pity people like William Guerridon. They've come all the way from Europe after all. AND WHERE THE HELL IS GENER!?!

Perhaps they will be used in the Mongolia match as they're more used to the cold. In Europe, they play even if its 0 degrees.

It makes me wonder whether or not the Azkals have cold weather gear...

  12. Why are everyone asking for Guerridon? We should ask where are all the Fil-Foreigners all written to join the Azkals last January, specially from the higher league in Germany. At least 2 players from second Bundesliga were mentioned.

  13. i think abs-cbn should show the finqal list on the news. also, you guys shouldn't trip if some of the players are missing. football coaches pick different players all the time. every game is different.

  14. Why pick a 38 year old striker Barsales over a young, talented and experienced William Guerridon? And besides, he has been training with the team since January. This is quite unbelievable.

To the anonymous after Jonny. Many of them have to secure passports first like Fil-Danes Jerry Lucena and Dennis Cagara, Fil-Germans Roland Müller and Stephan Schröck. Brothers James and Ryan Hall just came in a few days ago so the coach haven't tested them much yet. And as for the other Fil-Europians and Fil-Ams, they didn't make it to the seniors team however they were invited to come back for the Under-23 training in November.

  15. this is still the same slow, defensive and counterattacking team from 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup...

still lots of dinosaurs on the team...

well, politics trumps skills once again...

  16. Fil-germans Mark Drinkuth and Patrick herget are already accepted for under 23 in sea games in dec. I doubt that William Gueridonn won't be accpeted kc napahanga nya talaga ang coach during the match.

  17. There's no politics.

It's just that the Suzuki Cup team deserve this match which is why I'm disappointed to know that Gener and Barsales are not in the team. Don't underestimate this "slow, defensive and counterattacking" team. They're the team who started this Azkals hype.

And like the other anonymous said, many of the other younger guys have yet to get their Philippine passports.

  18. yeah where is William Gueridon? He's a STRIKER! and Azkals need more of him.....

  19. was about to loudly question Guerridon's omission but i'm glad lots of others are looking for him too :) he was really impressive during the training stage. and i hope what cjeagle said is true. i refuse to believe that he wasn't good enough because he was amazing during the tryouts.

  20. I really think we Filipinos fans have to know a lot yet about football and qualities of footballers. If Guerridons performance is already considered experienced and talented, then that only shows that we have no idea yet how football is played in Europe. And to anonymous who writes we need more of him, then we would never get any where in Football not even win againts Mongolia. Ah well we are still starting and playing againts the no. 182, we still have a lot to learn and guys please try to watch European soccer and see the difference.

Except for two players who comes from the 2nd Bundesliga, a lot of these players are coming from the provincial or lower league. In Europe/Germay they never have a chance, so how can we crown them talented and experienced. For us here in the Philippines as yet no. 152 maybe they are good enough.

And correction please,, Patrick Herget is not in the 2nd Bundesliga.
