Mark Hartmann signs for S-League club
Geylang International FC is pleased to announce the signing of Mark Hartmann from Global FC today. Mark will be the first Filipino to play in the S-League. He will be donning jersey No. 16 for Geylang.

6 Negrense footballers join U-16 national pool

Of 30 selected from across the country, the U-16 Boys National Pool picked six from Negros Occidental to participate in the month-long football camp in Los Baños, Laguna, from June 5 to July 7.
By the end of the camp, 23 will be selected to form the U-16 national team to compete in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U-16 Championship in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from July 10 to 23.
The boys from Negros selected to participate were Paolo Lance Castijon, Al Kristler de la Cruz, Jason Galve, Nino Jude Melos, Lean Perez, and Jericho Sinconiege.
Also in the pool are players from Bukidnon, Iloilo, Rizal, Cebu, North Cotabato, Zamboanga, and Metro Manila.

Filipinas fall to Thailand in AFC U-14 title match
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine girls earned a second place finish at the 2016 Asian Football Confederation Under-14 Girls Regional Championship after losing 0-1 to ASEAN powerhouse Thailand on Sunday, June 5 at Chao Anuvong Stadium in Vientiane, Laos.
The 2016 squad, which made the final after defeating Myanmar 5-1 on Saturday, equals the team's best ever finish from 2014, when they won silver as well.
Despite losing in the final, the Filipinas enjoyed a successful run through the tournament, which began on Tuesday, finished second to the also-unbeaten Thailand in Group A, which also featured Malaysia and Laos. Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore composed Group B.
The Philippines was comprised of Trinity Wambolt, Journey Winder, Gaby Colatos, Martina Torres, Cassandra Zalamea, Anya Fuentes, Maria Lazo, Alex Villalon, Alex Lagman, Carly Frilles, Marinell Cristobal, Arianna Lepage, Jessica Pido, Katelyn Alexander, Malina Hill, Keane Dedel, Shelten Cruces and Riza Ugbaniel.
