MANILA – Players of Kaya Futbol Club-Iloilo have tested negative for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) ahead of the Philippines Football League (PFL) return to training sessions.
Kaya-Iloilo said that all their players who underwent COVID-19 testing last week yielded negative results as they gear up for practice resumption at PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
“Test results are in… ALL NEGATIVE!! Our path back to the pitch is all clear!” Kaya Iloilo announced on its Facebook account.
Stallion-Laguna FC and Mendiola 1991 FC had earlier announced that their players were also tested negative from the deadly virus.
PFL commissioner Coco Torre, meanwhile, said that all those who underwent COVID-19 testing last week were negative from the virus. Some teams, however, were incomplete.
“Magkakaroon tayo ng second batch ng COVID-19 testing dahil may mga players na hindi nakapagpa-COVID-19 test,” Torre told Panay News. “So far dun sa mga na-test namin ay negative naman,” he added./PN
