First, it was Stephan Schrock. Now, it’s Dennis Cagara.
The Philippine national men’s football team lost another valuable player after Filipino-Danish defender Cagara announced that he will also not suit up for the Azkals because of their coach Thomas Dooley.
Cagara announced his decision on Twitter shortly after Schrock’s revelation that Dooley is the reason why he’ll leave the Azkals.
One of the squad’s most steady defenders, Cagara has been a vital cog of the Azkals backline since joining the team in 2011.
The Azkals earlier revealed that Schrock resigned from the team due to his desire “to pursue new challenges” in his career, but the midfield star clarified that he didn’t quit the squad and declared that he will still play for the squad not until Dooley steps down.
