Stallion lends star striker Rufo Sanchez to Global for Singapore Cup

 Karl Decena, InterAKTV

United Football League champion Stallion Sta. Lucia star striker Rufo Sanchez will be donning a different uniform this month after joining Global FC on a loan deal.
Stallion coach Ernie Nierras told InterAKTV that Sanchez, the winner of the UFL’s Golden Boot and Golden Ball trophies, will be playing for Global in its campaign in the Singapore Cup later this month.
Sanchez will only be on loan during the Singapore Cup and will return to Stallion as soon as the UFL starts its new season.
“July lang siya (naka-loan). If Global advances in August, I’ll (lend) him again in August,” Nierras said.
“Vacation naman siya so wala naman sa ‘kin yun.”
Since signing in August last year, Sanchez, a Spanish national, has been a vital cog for Stallion in its feat of clinching both the Cup and League titles this season.
Sanchez will join an already formidable lineup of Global, which includes imports Izzo Elhabib and Ben Starosta, among others, as well as a handful of national team players.
Global will face S.League side Brunei Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota (DPMM) FC in a two-legged quarterfinals series on July 24 and July 27 at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore.

  3. WTF?!?!

Here we go again. He also got Mark Hartmann, but im not sure if its a loan or permanent move, but damn... This isnt even funny. Only in the Philippines!

Here we have the UFL, a league who thinks theyre professional, but the only professional thing about the league is the wages of some of the players, and if you look at that and the quality of the league, we all see that theyre overpayed except a few players who are in reality to good for the UFL, but are on the hunt for easy cash/adventure, and the rules are just riddiculous!

  4. Mga Refeeree ng UFL dapat palitan na! Their calls are ridiculous!!! They should make a pro league na dahil kawawa ang mga hindi superstar na mga players dahil hindi sila bibigyan ng tamang sahod. Gumising kayo UFL!!!
