  2. if we could shock them and we take the lead then it would become interesting....but normally the Thais are the best team in SEA....and not to forget the home advantage before a huge crowd....so I guess Thailand wins 3-1..........out opponents to beat are Vietnam and (finally) Myanmar

    1. The pitch also doesn't help! Really in bad condition!

    2. Yeah, blame it on the pitch. LOL

    3. Wasn't blaming everything on the pitch moron!! Was just saying that it doesn't help! And if you're actually watching, you'd know that I'm right!!

    4. Both teams are in the same situation. LOL

  8. Caligdong sucks so much that he had to be replaced a few minutes before half-time!! LOL!! And yet people think he's good! LOL again!! He should be stripped of the armband and dropped!!

    1. the captain's arm band is not given to the best player on the pitch but to who the players look up to no matter what the level of skill he has.
i must admit though that cc wasn't able to bring out a convincing performance nor show his leadership on this match.

    2. Duh!! Everybody knows that the armband isn't given to the best player on the team!!

The captain is pretty much an automatic starter. So saying that he should be stripped of the armband and dropped was in reference to him being an automatic starter...... because he sucks ass!!!

He's not really shown any leadership in any game he's worn the armband!! To add to that, his performances are so erratic!! How can fellow teammates look up to him for that?!?!

The armband should be worn by Gier or Lucena for this tournament!!

  9. Theyre lacking attacking power, and theyre just too slow on the attacking. Phil and Guirado doesnt get much support. And the left side has been non existent. I thought Cagara was alot better than he is, but he is struggling today. Caligdong, captain, but where is he?

But 45minutes left, and anything can happen.

    1. I always doubted Cagara for just one simple reason. He has been given almost NO playtime at all this season in the 3rd division of Germany. Heck, he usually doesn't even get included in the line up. Come on it's 3rd division. If Cagara was only half as good as when he played for Hertha Berlin, he would have easily grabbed a regular spot in a 3rd div team.

      Delete
    2. I agree with that. But 3rd division in Germany is alot better than Icelandic top league. Even players from danish top league could have a hard time in the german 3rd division. Cagara is an example of that. Played regularly for Lyngby, but struggles now in Germany. So im a bit surprised that he struggles this much.

And if Cagara was as good as he was for Hertha Berlin , he wouldnt be playing for the Philippines.

  10. Develop local players then using this useless european players who cannot even challenge thais.
Don,t tell me we will go hunting for players again.
Think properly if they are really good do they want to play for us.
They know their native country won,t want them so play for us at the very least play in world cup qualifiers etc.
They rather play for their native country

Waste of time watch our basketball team better.

    1. Because if we fielded our homegrown boys, the Thais wouldnt need a national team to beat the crap out of us. They could easily send a club team to beat our boys.

      Delete
    2. Watch our basketball team? HA! That's a hopeless cause, how could we ever compete with the superpowers of Asia?

      Delete
    3. With this mentality don,t need to have local football league.
Local players know they would not to play for the national team they won,t need to develop as no chance as useless half breeds get selected.
      Shame on our country mentality.

      Delete
    4. The plan is to develop good homegrown players just like Thailand, Vietnam etc. In order for that to happen, they need a good leagues. As of now we dont have a choice but to use foreign based players.

      Delete
    5. '...who cannot even challenge thais..' - that's BS. Even they are not AFF champion the Thais are by far the best SEA team who can compete with the top teams in Asian (at least at home) which their WC qualifiers proofed....and the Thais are not too easy to play especially when they have a good day....and our mostly 3rd divion/2nd class European players have probably just a level like Thai premier league or maybe even a bit lower...so don't expect miracles.....and even we lose there are still 2 matches left....even I think (to be honest) that we don't make it to the semis this year....

      - and by the way: Basketball sucks....

      Delete
    6. We wont make it? But... Palami and Weiss said we will win!

    7. You are not aware of thai football standard.
Their team make to the final of champions league before.
How many of their players use to play for clubs like man city, grasshopper.
These clubs are top teir clubs..
Our half breed some play for non league team.
      Now who is bullshitting??

      Delete
    8. And so? We all know they are good, but who has ever remembered a thai player playing in PL? We got players who played bundesliga, and still play bundesliga. We have a reserve in the PL, and Phil also got an official game for Chelsea, and i think his career wouldve been better if he didnt move to Philippines. We also have a player in the dutch 1st division. We have Lucena who has played a decade in the danish top league. They arent all crap if thats what you think.

    9. "Useless half-breeds." Someone who has this sort of mentality/racist and ignorant viewpoint doesn't even deserve a serious reply.

      Delete
    10. Should not use the term half breeds because all our citizens are trying our best to migrate or marry foreigners to get out of the country.
Too ashame to stay back to develop our own country or just being self centered and thinking about themself.
No wonder we cannot be a power house in anything even in football.
So continue to live in ur dreams that azkals football has progress alot.

  12. Disgraceful coach sum up the team.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I blame neither pitch nor players. I do take issue with the choice of coach. The coach dictates tactics, and like all other coaches in the world, he should be held accountable for results. I refuse to believe that the 11 men we have on the pitch cannot match any ASEAN team. Who will disagree that this kick and run style is painful to watch? RP football needs a national coach who can bring about some technical improvements to bring this game out of its doldrums. If he cannot manage with the players we have, then more than a sending off from the pitch is deserved.

    1. You honestly think Weiss tells the players just to deploy a kick and run tactic all game long?!? LOL!! The players are also to blame!! You can't just dump everything on the coach like that!! Idiotic to say the least!!

      Delete
    2. Idiotic? Since the subject of this blog is a gentleman's game, let me giive you some gentlemanly advice. Disagreeing does not give you the right to insult anyone. You are either blind or just madly in love with Weiss, since you so vigorously came to his defence. Pity these blogs attract your ilk; just because you can type the words "idiotic to say the least," does not mean you have anything intelligent to say nor are worth of any more time than I have already spent responding.

    3. You're so goddamn soft. You're fucking pussy, that's what!!! You get offended by the comment of "idiotic to say the least"?!?!?!?

      LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can't handle your ass getting handed to you because of your own pathetic comment, don't bother saying anything in the first place!!!!! Moron!!

Madly in love with Weiss?!?! This just proves it. Not only was your previous comment idiotic but you are also an idiot, perhaps a fucktard even!!!

You're previous comment was all about bashing Weiss because due to your puny ass brain, you think the coach literally just tells the players to kick the ball long and hope for the best!! So yes, IDIOTIC TO SAY THE LEAST!!

Due to your obsession with bashing Weiss for everything and anything no matter how small and even if he isn't fully at fault, you must be cjeagle. If not then you must related because the retardation is practically the same!!

      Delete
    4. Ah the genius returns. Had I been bashing your beloved Weiss, I would have used the same invective you used with me. Since you know how to access the internet, you may want to look up stories of Mourinho, Scolari and Di Matteo. This may change your viewpoint that that a coach should be replaced when he cannot deliver. While your beloved coach may not be in their league, you surely must see the point. "Retarded, puny ass, fucking pussy, soft?" the language of the obtuse wanna-be hooligan pretending to have a footballing mind.

  14. Clear and simple. Thailand is on several notches higher level. 1-2 is definitely lucky scoreline for us.

  15. Azkals were lucky today. The Thais shouldve won it with more goals. A few changes in the lineup is in order before the next game i think.

    1. Logically, a draw is acceptable. And then beat Myanmar. And hope Thailand won't lose to both teams. Then we go through.

  18. Thailand tonight showed both dirty and beautiful sides of their football. No doubt they are strong. Their ball keeping, passing, dribbling, speed, and all were impressive and some of their attacking build-ups were simply class. They clearly dominated the game and deserved to win. But regardless, some of their dirty plays were ugly and disgusting. Especially Teerasil something was just ridiculous.

Is Hans Weiss a failure, or are the diamonds he's
