  1. Well, for me, since the friendly tournament is being scheduled on FIFA match days, and the Premiership has just ended at this time, I think this would be a good time for the first team of the clubs to show up. I heard way back late last year that they have already tapped the Qatar-based events organizer that facilitates the post-season tours of the clubs mentioned. I do hope they stop over here in the Phils.

  2. Early June? lol. Players for English clubs will be in the middle of their vacation. Mind you, the season ends slightly earlier due to the Euros in the summer. But even in general, clubs in the big Euro leagues, especially English, don't go on post-season tours due to their lengthy and tough season. Pre-season tours? Much more likely but post-season, extremely doubtful, let alone for two weeks!

  3. Too true. Not only is June players' private vacation time but the 3 English Premier League clubs mentioned have just had new managers (coaches) and Asian tours will be the least of their priorities.

  5. it's good to have these teams play just for us to see in person how football is played at the highest level. it's good for our players too. I thought CF Internacional Madrid was in a another class but to see EPL teams play in person would be special. It will be good for Philippine football in general.

    1. Talk about Mr. Obvious!

That's not the point though, point is, will they be available and willing to go on a post-season tour for weeks in the middle of their vacation? As it stands its safe to say 99.9% they won't be.
