ORGANIZERS of the two-day Sinulog Football Festival on Jan. 7 will adjust to the ongoing Aboitiz Cup to make sure there would be no conflict of schedules.

This was after Aboitiz Cup tournament head Eleazar Toledo declined to set changes in the schedule.

The Aboitiz Cup, the longest running local football tournament in Cebu, will resume after the holiday break—the same date as that of the Sinulog Football Festival.

Sinulog Football Festival tournament director Francis Ramirez decided to synch their schedules with that of the Aboitiz Cup to avoid conflict.

Both competitions will have matches for the Players 8, Players 10, Boys 12 and Boys 14.

“Kami na lang ni adjust para dili sad maguba ilang schedule. Wala may problema kay we had given the teams one hour allowance before their games in the Aboitiz,” said Ramirez.
