THIS was the plan: to cut down on rice and commit to having a healthy breakfast.
By healthy, it meant having a regular-sized sandwich of wheat bread with a dab of mayonnaise, some meat, lettuce, and a few slices of tomato in the mornings. Sounds like the perfect plan, right?
Almost.
The problem was I ended up starting the day with three servings of sandwich because the home-made kind is irresistibly yummy. And it turns out that a full, happy stomach made even fuller and happier at lunchtime leads the body to bed and away from the football field or the running oval.
