  2. Sato, porteria and aguinaldo won't be in U23 though it would be a plus for azkals u23 if they do
They were called up for senior friendly against bahrain

    1. As much as I would like to have those players performing for the U23, the upcoming friendly in March will just be an important in determining if the Azkals remain in pot 2 of the AFC WC qualifying draw which will be held in April, and which conceivably will afford them a better chance of landing in an easier draw, so I can see the logic in this choice they have made.

    2. Not correct. FIFA Ranking as at 14 April 2015 counts only matches until 19 March 2015.

    3. Azkals upcoming friendly is on 30 March, way beyond cut-off for April ranking of 19 March.

  3. Many azkals players played in U23 but are very good in the senior team: porteria, deyto, daniels, aguinaldo, hartmann, ott
Losing in U23 many times doesn't mean that they'll carry it over to the seniors
Any team can have strong U23s or below but perform poorly in senior level, like myanmar
Philippines is not far behind Other asean, only thailand has superior U23 and senior team
