Chris Greatwich statement :

"Many people in the last few days have asked why I have not traveled with the squad to Bahrain this week. Last week I met with Coach Dooley and told him I would be taking a break from International football for a while.
It has been the greatest privilege to play for Philippines for the past 10 years but for now I like to spend more time with my family, especially my baby ."

    Dear Anonymous,

What a great shame that you view my sons contribution to Philippine football as worthless. I know you are a very small minority. I feel sorry for you !

    1. I dont think you should feel that bad. Philippines already gave a good life to fil foreigners here even if they hardly have any good results to show

    2. In addition, he was not happy with the team anyway, right? Many believe he was the source of that Rappler article saying they were being used as pawns to attend Azkals events, among many other complaints he had against the team. He forgot he was with the team when it was literally nothing. No support or whatsoever. Sorry to say but after reading that article, i don't think he deserves to be in the team.

    3. Thanks for helping spark the rise of football in the Philippines Chris. Please ignore the ingrates who refuse to acknowledge your contributions. They are not real Filipinos as they seem to have forgotten that 'utang ng loob' is a trait that we all hold dearly.

    4. I think they should be thankful to filipinos for giving them a career here. They cant even be a laundromat worker in usa or be a soccer player in their point of origin and here they are living the good life

    5. What exactly these jokers gave to the Philipines other than fuck local women lol They have been here for a long time without any championshi trophy to show. I wonder if is it wise to invest in them considering they lack results

  5. Our young footballers need to have exposures in international level so we can have many options if players like Chris will opt not to play for international duties and instead rest those aging body.
