Kaya FC rips Forza in UFL FA League Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Kaya FC continued to dominate their foes in Group B of the United Football League (UFL) FA League Cup after dominating the hapless Forza FC, 5-0, at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium on Thursday, September 6.
Coming off a commanding 9-1 victory against Dolphin United FC last Sunday, the men of Kaya once again demonstrated their supremacy in the field, this time at the expense of Forza.
Kaya FC’s offense went hard on their defenders coming out of the gates sending a multitude of shots on goal, but they were well guarded by Forza FC up until the 35th minute when Louis Clark exposed a defensive lapse following a cross from Diego Barrera. The game went into halftime with Kaya leading Forza, 1-0.
As the game returned into action for the second half, Kaya FC’s offense sustained their cutthroat blitz on their enemy’s territory.
The persistent offense of the yellow shirts resulted in another goal by Clark, this time via an assist by Jovin Bedic.
Clark, who is coming off a 4-goal outing in their win against the Dolphins, did not rest his boots as he racked up the second hat-trick of his UFL career off a pass from Azkals standout Kenshiro Daniels in the 64th minute.
Forza FC’s fatigued offense tried to spark a late game outburst but their gallant effort to tally a score for their squad was too weak for Kaya’s formidable backline.
To strum the final note on Kaya FC’s rhythmic win, Christian Ayew smacked a striking goal from outside the box, ending the game at 5-0 in favor of his club.
Meanwhile, the game between Manila All-Japan FC and Team Socceroo FC concluded in a 1-1 stalemate. -
