Global FC seeks to move closer to the top of the table when it clashes with Philippine Army-General Trias International FC in United Football League action on Thursday at the Emperador Stadium.
The two clubs battle at 7:30 p.m. after the opening match between Stallion FC and Team Socceroo at 5 p.m. Both matches will be aired live on AksyonTV.
A victory will put Global just one point behind the league-leading Loyola, which suffered its first loss of the season against the squad last Saturday. Global has an 8-1-2 win-draw-loss card for 25 points.
Army-GTI is seeking to improve its 4-1-5 slate to climb to the top four of the table.
In the first match, defending champion Stallion looks to catch up with the league leaders when it tussles with newly-promoted Team Socceroo.
Stallion is currently at fourth place behind Loyola, Global and Kaya FC which all have at least 20 points in their records. The reigning titlist has a 4-3-3 card for 15 points.
With only to show in its Division One debut, Team Socceroo is targeting to avoid the relegation zone. The squad is sitting at eighth place with a 1-3-7 slate for six points.
