  1. Meh, he talks too much about small trivial details when it comes to training and forgets the big picture entirely. I didn't really see a concept anywhere in that. Are we going to play more attacking football with a lot of possesion or defensive counter attacking? All in all, he focused too much on simple training methods and player mentality instead of actually talking about tactics and what his actual concept was. His comment on man-marking had me worried as well, since that is pretty much outdated and it's more a case of zone defending today. Very very sceptical if he can achieve anything!

    1. i think because Hans off the bat took the conversation to that area of more into commentary rather than talking about plans as to how he would handle this squad. But hey he's only handled the team for 3 sessions so far. So I think we can understand why he cant really talk much into details as he doesn't much about what his players can do as he said in the beginning. He mentioned something like he will see what he's got after this friendly coz he said he cant measure his players from watching the UFL coz it's not a contest sometimes with lopsided scores and small field.

  3. @3:58 good coaches aren't worried about strategies, he's not going to be discussing things like he was some kind of strategy fanatic coach like that bald coach of the women's team. This is the part about coaching called TEAM BUILDING. Any plan that he lays out there will be based on the abilities of his players. He already gave us an idea about his philosophy so that should be good already. Right now, he is trying to come up with a good roster for the main tournament(s) and he is going to accomplish this by encouraging competition in every position on the pitch. The players are not going to be selected through a game or games but the day-in day-out putting in of efforts 100%, and he will make the determination and create a simple plan from out of this strong roster that he's created and most everyone earned. Good coaches worry less about strategy. It's about preparation. FUNDAMENTALS. When they get to the pitch, the players are on the driver's seats, it's up to them to create and express themselves out there.

This show and this guy Hans altogether suck balls. The questions they asked didn't have any semblance of intelligence in them. The twisting the turning and swing of the chair, the sunglasses, the frkn hair. The scratching! Is Hans on crack or something? A dare to eat balut? What in the world is wrong with this guy? And he calls Coach Dooley "Thomas" like they were buddies. Disgusting. Title first before the name, snoop dog! even if you are both coaches. It's Coach Dooley to you, crack baby.

They should have fielded questions like Fitness Level of the players, "key" things to be met on this game, what the Coach knows about Malaysia, His relationship with the players, the PFF guy(s), the manager Palame, What the players need to do to make the roster, when does he expect to see progress in his work/his assessments, time table,...

Knuckleheads wasted the man precious time.

  4. hans is a joke as a host and voting for him as an analyst for ABS- CBN Sports "late" channel is the biggest mistake football fans will commit if it happens. This guy slaps every player in De La Salle when a player commits even a small mistake and that style of coaching are old fashioned and disturbing to the parents and fans.
