Defending champion Trimaxi-Agro showed its force by blasting Silver Dragons, 2-nil, during Sunday’s kick-off of the 2012 North Football League 3rd Conference played at the Ayala North football pitch.
Trimaxi came out with high momentum – carried from the recent victory in the finals, and displayed aggressiveness from the first whistle.
Despite the title at hand, Trimaxi seemed to be more eager to duplicate the title as they scored two goals in the first half.
Alejandro Montelibano scored Trimaxi’s first goal in the 15th minute as Bes dela Noche nailed the second in the 20th.
Silver Dragons tried to convert a goal but failed and absorbed its first loss in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Jaime Poderoso and Ali Rojas Go anchored Dynamic Builders FC with three goals each to outplay last conference’s runner-up Real Negrense FC, 10-2.
Poderoso opened Dynamic’s run in the early 3rd minute as Ian Treyes scored the second in the 4th minute, followed by another goal from Jason Cordova in the 19th minute.
A series of attacks followed in Noel de Oca’s 30th followed by Go in the 32nd and Poderoso in the 34th to give the Builders a 6-nil advantage at the break.
In the second half, Go sizzled with his second goal in the 45th minute as Michael Pacite nailed Real’s first goal in the 48th minute.
However, Nikki Segaya was quick enough to score the Builders’ eighth goal in the 55th minute but Pacite got his second in the 61st minute.
Despite leading by six goals, the Dynamic booters did not stop scoring as Poderoso sent in his third in the 64th and Go earned his share in the 70th minute to close the match, 10-2.
On the other hand, the Ceres FC was slightly stunned by Las Buenas FC following the equalizer from Ronevic Palerna in the 21st minute.
Ceres opened the game with John Trumpeta’s goal in the early 8th minute as both clubs ended the first half at 1-goal each.
Both clubs fought for their respective team’s second goal but defense was tight at both ends forcing the two teams scoreless for more than 20 minutes.
It was in the 64th minute when center defense Lemuel Unabia scored Ceres’ second goal as Trumpeta added another in the 69th to post a 3-1 advantage with 11 minutes left in regulation.
Getting the momentum on their side, Garret Parcon scored Ceres’ fourth goal in the 74th minutes as playing-team manager Leo Rey Yanson sealing the match with his goal in the 79th minutes.Pitch actions resume Sunday./
