Victory Liner, Pachanga out to keep 1-2 position

Diliman Victory Liner FC and Pachanga FC take on separate rivals today, looking for victories that will keep them on the top two spots in the Second Division of the United Football League at the University of Makati field in Makati.

The Diliman booters edged the Dolphins United FC side, 2-1, last week at the Turf at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City and stormed past Pachanga with 19 points on six victories and a draw. Another victory against Forza FC in their 4 p.m. showdown will keep them on top of the heap.

Unbeaten in six matches with 18 points, Pachanga battles Sunken Garden United FC at 6 p.m. hoping to stay on course for a chance to get promoted to the First Division.

But Forza FC is out to bounce back from a sorry 3-4 loss to Agila FC last Feb. 25 as it tries to remain at joint eighth with Laos FC with nine points.

Sunken Garden, meanwhile, has lots of catching up to do as it languishes in the cellar with Manila All-Japan FC with three points.

In the only other match, Agila FC hopes to come up with a follow-up to its victory over Forza as it collides with Lions Meltique Beef FC at 2 p.m.

Agila is currently in third with 12 points while the Lions are in 10th spot with five points.
