We need another team for Peace Cup, says Dooley

HANOI (5 August 2014) – Thomas Dooley, the coach of the Philippines national team, said that after the official draw of the AFF Suzuki Cup this afternoon, that they will now have to look for another team to take part in the Peace Cup 2014.
The four-team Peace Cup which is slated for 1-9 September was supposed to have Palestine, Myanmar and Vietnam.
“It was understood that Vietnam will only take part if they are not in the same AFF Suzuki Cup group as us,” said Dooley after the draw ceremony.
“But now that Vietnam are in the same group, we will have to look for another team to make up the event.”
For the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014, the Philippines have been drawn in Group A to be based in Hanoi against hosts Vietnam, Indonesia and the runners-up team from the qualifiers.
Group B are hosts Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the winning team from the qualifiers.
