Breaking News: AFC Challenge Cup 2012: Philippines Arrive Kathmandu





Philippines National Team arrived Kathmandu Friday night from Manila. The team spent few hours in transit in Dhaka.

A-23 member team has landed in Kathmandu.

Coach Michael Weiss looked happy after landing at TIA and first sentence he uttered was - It's a bit cool here. Our decision to come here in Kathmandu was right!

"We have come here a week earlier to acclimatize with the weather. It will help us a lot. I am thankful to our FA for providing this opportunity to come early".

"I have heard a lot about Nepal and I have many Nepalese friends back in Germany", a German Coach weiss said

  2. There is no official line-up yet . PFF late as usual with releasing the squad but deadline for giving 23 man team list was yesterday.

    1. Yesterday's deadline was only the preliminary registration of players (up to 50 can be registered).

      The final registration of an 18-23 man squad is at the team mangers' meeting (I'm not sure when that is).

    2. Thanks, you are right , I been checking AFC rules for the competition :

      Participating Member Associations are required to submit a final
      registration of a minimum of eighteen (18) players and a maximum of
      twenty three (23) players from the squad list of up to fifty (50) players at
      the Team Managers’ Meeting.

    3. Anyway India and Nepal have already announced final squad . Philippines will always be late , because they hope to get more fil-foreigners
