Azkals in rigid training for September 5 match

By HENRY G. DOBLE

THE Philippine men’s football team is currently in tough preparation ahead of the September 5 match against Yemen for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Qualifiers at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City. The Philippine side is doing well in their group and may have a home advantage, but it will not take Yemen lightly. Azkals’ head coach Thomas Dooley said that for the national team to play in higher level of competitions, they need more training and more experience, more knowledge and more fitness. “Right now, we need to measure our level and learn from our previous games. Maybe in 5 to 10 years,” he added. Meanwhile, PFF general secretary Edwin Gastanes reiterated his invitation to football fans to watch and support the Philippine Men’s Team on September 5.

Tickets are still on sale in all SM ticket outlets nationwide and online at www.smtickets.com and will also be available at the gate during the game. Ticket prices are as follows: Category 1 Blue Grandstand Seats - P500; Category 2 Yellow Grandstand Seats - P300; Category 3 Green, Red, and Orange Grandstand area - P100 and Category 4 Bleachers - P50.
