Aiming for their breakthrough wins, Laos FC and Manila Tala FC tangle in the Weekend Futbol League (WFL) Elite Division today at the Army Support Command (Ascom) Football Field in Taguig City.
The two clubs meet at 11 a.m. for the right to enter the winners’ column.
Laos, which currently is currently No. 5, absorbed close defeats from Stallion Laguna FC B (3-4) and FC Meralco Manila Reserve Team (1-3) in its previous matches.
Cellar-dweller Manila Tala, on the other hand, suffered a narrow 1-2 loss to Green Archers United (GAU) FC in its opening game and a 2-11 drubbing from leading Kaya FC Elite.
Meanwhile, Stallion Laguna B and Meralco Manila Reserve Team, which both have mother clubs in the top flight Philippines Football League, collide at 10 a.m. on Sunday at the Biñan Football Stadium.
Stallion B is eager to bounce back from a 0-4 beating from Green Archers United while Meralco Reserve Team goes for a winning streak following its victory last week.
In the final game of the league’s third week, Kaya FC and Green Archers battle for the top spot at 2 p.m. at the McKinley Hill Stadium in Taguig City.
Kaya only leads GAU in goal difference as both squads have six points on a similar 2-0-0 win-draw-loss record.
