JAKARTA (24 April 2014) – The ASEAN All-Star match is an invaluable avenue for the Indonesian national team as they look to polish up their squad for the AFF Suzuki Cup at the end of the year.
The Indonesian national side will play against the ASEAN All-Stars on 11 May at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium before taking on the Dominica national team four days later at the Manahan Stadium in Solo.
“We have to start looking at consistency which is what coach Alfred Riedl is calling for. So we will be calling on the best 24 players who have been consistent thus far this season,”’ said assistant coach Widodo Putro.
“So in all likelihood, there will be a handful of young faces.”
Two Philippines football players will play for the ASEAN All Stars team.
