  1. I expect a tough match against Australia U23 . They lost 2-0 against Uzbekistan U23 in a Oloympic qualifier, but still got a small chance to qualify for Olympics.

    Philippines lose 0-3 again ?

  2. Probably more than 3. I'm hoping to see Beloya and Bahadoran in the starting line up. Araneta should not start.

    1. You can be optimistic all you want, but it doesn't change the fact Australia are a superior team, the Younghusband brothers won't be involved and another 3-0 drubbing looks very likely!

  4. 2 - 0 to Australia. Wolf with Angel just behind him?

  5. 4-0 win for Aussie U-23...no Younghusbands = lack of offensive power/abilities

  6. Which IMPORTANT schedule hinder Yhusband bros playin v Aussies? a model show or photo shooting? or an ufl game v a lower club?

  11. 1-0 U-23 Australia............headless chicken day again in the Azkals defense.....if I see how they play today again (Uzbekistan match is greeting).....they should cancel their Challenge Cup participation to spare us this upcoming desaster

    1. It's not just the defense but its also the midfield! No desire, no awareness and lack of experience! And Weiss persists with Angeles when we have someone like Moy available? ffs! They're all playing like they'd rather be at home, a complete borefest!!

    2. I didn't watched tonight's game but don't worry too much about Challenge Cup. India or Tajiks are not THAT strong enough to give us disastrous scoreline. The only problem is North Korea but i doubt they will bring their best team.

    3. I saw Inda performing vs. Bayern Munich....they had no chance during the match. If the German top team had taken it even more serious India would have been punished more than just the 4-0 scoreline. If it's true that some Euro based player will be available in the Challenge cup then at least the chances are higher to make a good performance....but we shouldn't expect too much...not to speak of reaching the semi final or what ever

    4. Of course Bayern Munich are lightyears stronger than India NT. The club tours scorelines don't explain anything. It's just business.

    1. Crap defending but even crappier midfield! A lot of them are just ball watching!

    2. not a bad game considering no YH's

    3. ^^I think you're only looking it from a results point of view. If you look at it from a performance point of view the entire game from the Philippines was absolutely shocking to say the least!

    4. Yeah, and their absence meant a chance to give experience to the other members of the squad. Good to see Weiss subbing players in earlier, so more people get minutes

  14. Im impress with the defense in the second half

  15. 0-1 ? Wow
No wonder those Aussies had ZERO goal in 4 games so far of their Olympic qualifiers lol

  16. normally azkals would just fall apart going 0-1 but they holding up well. to bad no goals.

  17. This is Australia under 23 B team

  18. they wasted the first half with araneta.. totally useless. doctora and beloya should have subbed-in earlier. they could create more chances with on the pitch.

  19. Iḿ very satisfied w/ d result, for me it was a draw since Aussies scored an iregular goal ( an Aussie striker stood close the goalkeeper in offside position , so it was an ACTIVE OFFSIDE during the goal header ).
Iḿ very satisfied especially in the wrong words of Mr. Graeme Mackinnon ( GLOBAL FC coach )some years ago, that Philippines is light years away to win or draw vs an official australian team. For his racist opinions about Filipinos he was baned from our PFSA Forum... hehe now Australia Olympic Team was ready to loose vs Philippines. A draw would have been the correct result ! Australia OT was weak and had not enough power to finish .. ball possesion is not everything in football. Yep ... Philippines did show IF THERE is enough DISCIPLINE inside with HALF FILIPINOS and FULL FILIPINOS they have not to fear asean rivals! PFSA and I got laughters in past about our opinions that Filipno footballers have some quality.. now RESPECT comes up! BUT the question is if Philippines can hold in DISCIPLINE and DEVELOPMENTS or if it is only a hype. Good that UFL league is there, so Iḿ optimist that Philippines gets a real football naTion :)

  20. Lol at Paul weiler.

  21. ^^^ 2nd. I feel like there's a group of like 5 of us that talk to each other with any knowledge of the game beyond the UFL. Weiss is giving Angeles time so that he gets some game experience. Weiss has seen what Moy can do/has done, through games and also through the UFL and weekly Azkals practices. Angeles is the new boy, and thus needs game experience and playing time to be put in different situations so that he can see what Angeles has to offer. And that also goes for most players you see out of position for now. We can jump all over Weiss if he does the experimenting/non-subbing during the cup tournament, otherwise he's just seeing how these new players react in a game situation, something you cannot simulate in practice.
    - weiler sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Meh. Obviously Angeles is the new boy but what has he done to warrant a place in the senior team ahead of someone else that could also use the experience? Shouldn't even be there really!

    And yes, Weiler sucks!

  23. Dami palang footbal experts dito. ahehehe. Friendly games are useful to determine the capabilities of a player and the team. Ayaw ninyo bang makita kung ano kaya gawin ni Angeles o sino man diyan na bago. Sabi nilakulang si Angeles ng experience. Eh kailan ninyo ba siya gusto maka-experience. ahehehe. May skills naman si Angeles.

    1. Why don't you try and read and UNDERSTAND what was being said before trying to be a smart ass bringing out the BS, "dami palang experts dito..."

Obviously friendlies are to tryout new players but the point was, there are other potential new players that should be given a chance who are arguably better than Angeles as is. He's only played some Div. 2 ufl football and a few apps for the national U-23's, He's got skills? Meh. Not really! The only thing he's shown during the tour was how inexperienced he is! Shouldn't be anywhere the senior team just yet!
