FOOTBALL players who want to get a chance to play in the United Football League will now have their shot as Cebu Queen City United will hold tryouts next week.
“We were informed by the UFL that we are allowed to change eight players for the second round,” said Cebu Amateur Football Club president Glenn Quisido.
The tryouts, which will be supervised by Queen City coach Mario Ceniza, will be held from Feb. 27 to March 2 at the Aboitiz Sportsfield from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
“Nag-iyahay palig-un ang mga teams so magpalig-un sad mi,” said Quisido.
Queen City currently sits at eighth in Division 2 with 7 points but with a game at hand, having played five while the top seven has played six.
Queen City has two wins, one draw, and two losses. It drew Diliman, which is currently No. 2, 1-1, last Jan. 21, and lost to Division 2 leader Pachanga, 1-0, last Feb. 11, and to No. 7 Agila, 2-1, last Jan. 29 despite taking a first-minute lead.
They will face current No. 3 Socceroo on March 4.
