Familiar saves Dynamic in bootfest

ARCHIE Familiar scored a 66th minute goal to force a draw against archrival Ceres Transport Football Club and kept Dynamic Builders FC undefeated in the ongoing 2011 Negros Leo and Pia Yanson (LPY) 9-A-Side bootfest played at the Ayala North Point pitch in Talisay City last Sunday.

Before Dynamic nailed a goal, Ceres Transport was then ahead by 1-nil after Hemerson Campo scored the match’s first goal in the 59th minute of the game.

Dynamic now sports 4 wins and 2 draws while Ceres has 4 wins, a draw and a loss.

In the other match, Real Negrense blanked Las Buenas FC, 9-0 and kept the latter squad winless in the tournament.

Johncri Quilantang opened Real’s scoring rampage in the 5th minute while Winston Valencia scored the team’s second goal in the 17th minute.

Carlo Torbela then joined the scorer’s list, as he converted Real’s third in the 19th minute followed by two successive goals from Valencia in the 20th and 21st minutes, thereby closing the first half 5-nil.

With that huge lead, Las Buenas seemed to be helpless as Real continued to attack its defense.

Torbela added another goal in the 48th minute, as Reynante Montinola joined the spree in the 53rd minute of the game. However, Real was not done yet, as Luis Christian Clauor scored the squad’s eighth goal in the 60th minute and William Flores sealed the victory in the 66th minute.

Real’s win improved its record to 3 wins and 3 defeats, tying Talisay FC while Las Buenas remained at the bottom without a single win in six outings.

Meanwhile, Talisay continued its winning streak as it outplayed Trimaxi last Sunday.

Talisay had a great start after Mark Treyes nailed an opening goal in the 7th minute, followed by a quick second goal from Ronnie Vic Pallerna in the 10th minute and Alfie Amando in the 14th minute.

Down by 3-nil, Trimaxi did not lose hope as Larry Pon-an scored a 20th minute goal to end the half, 1-3.

In the second half, Trimaxi tried to draw closer with a 57th minute goal from Alejandro Montelibano.

However, Nicolas Ireneo converted an insurance goal in the 61st minute and eventually sealed the game, 4-2.
