  2. The important thing here is, if Dooley will have you play against Yemen. Does not matter if you're included, sitting in the bench is not worth the time and effort to be called up. This is just the qualifying round. Dooley just need two 11-player squads for scrimmage against his selected first team.

  3. yet another bunch of foreigners. the azkals have a very bad reputation. no wonder filipinos can't learn to live it. it's a national team none of whose starting XI was even born here! can't even sing the national anthem! we will never get any respect in southeast asia as long as all we ever get are foreigners. for once can you people stop thinking about the money you'll be able to make and start thinking about developing a national football program???

    1. Although I agree that there should be a credible national football program and develop the league....

Yet another Nazi Purist. All of them are Filipinos or FIFA would have ruled them ineligible.

    2. The problem is the PFF, the lack of marketing and at the same time holding matches in Manila where basketball is king.

But now the match will be held in Panaad, in Visayas. You'll see. It's not about the "foreigners".

    3. This xenophobe who first commented is no different to Neo-Nazis protesting in Charlottesville in USA
Claiming racial purity of Filipinos is the main priority in sports representation
Tingin muna sa gilas lineup o SEA games reps natin bago manghusga
Philippines is composed of 80 or so tribes
If he's looking for racially "pure" Filipinos he might as well as the aetas to play football and represent Philippines, as far as I know sila lang ang dugong dalisay na Pilipino, walang bahid ng Intsik/Malay/Puti

    4. Puro reliance sa mga fil foreigners lng alam nyo. That is only a short term or band aid plan. Ok lng 2-3 foreign born pinoys pero yung more than 15 players eh puro hindi produkto ng Pilipinas football -mahiya naman kayo!! Mga mentality nyo bulok.

    5. To the person who made a comment that you have to be a xenophobe to request that the PMNT be composed of locally trained players through our universities and colleges, why stop at the aetas, go a million of years ago to Africa where modern DNA studies indicated we all came from. Your argument is stupid, since all we are asking is for locally trained players, win or lose, just like the rest of Southeast Asia, i.e Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia.

    6. okay lang sa akin na every two years, bubugbugin tayo ng Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar or even East Timor basta at least 8 man lang ng starting XI natin ay produkto ng UAAP/NCAA/local scouting/local clubs/grassroots/etc. kahit 5-nil pa yan, kahit hindi makalagpas ng group stage. basta alam ko na ang nagrerepresent sa akin ay mga football player whose football is a product of Philippine experiences. ready naman na tayo kung iisipin. it's not as if pag naglagay tayo ng mga Philippine-born, iiskoran tayo ng Thailand ng 15-0. GISING FOOTBALL COMMUNITY!!! WALA SILANG PAKIALAM SA FOOTBALL, THOSE WHO HANDLE OUR FOOTBALL PROGRAMS!! ALL THEY EVER CARE ABOUT IS THEIR OWN VESTED INTERESTS!!!

    1. hahaha! 10 years pa?? e di by that time pa-retire na sina Salenga, Bugas, Gadia. by that time matanda na sina Gayoso at Joyel. hindi mo man lang sila paglalaruin? kaya hindi lumalaki ang supporters ng azkals ay dahil hindi nakikita ng mga Pinoy na they have something in common with those foreigners. kahit anong exposure mo diyan kung hindi ka maka-relate, wala yan.

SIX-FIVE AZKALS BUUIN NGAYON NA!!! WAG NANG PATAGALIN!! (6 foreigners, 5 Filipino-born).

      labyu!!! :D

  12. It is disappointing to be in this forum website when anonymous posts start arguing with each other using "sewer" languages which does not accomplish anything other than make us Filipinos look uneducated and uncivilized. I wish we would all grow up.
