Former Adelaide United and Melbourne City winger Iain Ramsay has returned to Australia to seek a deal in the A-League or Asia after trialing with clubs in Europe.
Ramsay has spent time in the Netherlands and Norway in the past three months trying to pick up a deal overseas.
The Philippines international trialed with FC Volendam in the Netherlands In July. He then spent time trialing in Norway last month.
"The club I was at was confident in selling an offensive player to bring me in before the window and was unable to do so," Ramsay told FourFourTwo.
Ramsay left Melbourne City in 2015 and spent six months with Iranian club Tractor Sazi Tabriz. His contract with the Red Wolves was terminated in January.
Perth-born Ramsay said he is now after a club closer to home.
"I'm open to A-League clubs and Asia," he said.
Ramsay made his international debut for the Philipines last year. The 28-year-old left-sided player has scored twice in nine games for the Azkals.
