Philippines Football news 10 YEARS !
They're terrible! To make matters worse, Padernal is an arrogant coach!
ReplyDeleteUnless there's a miracle, it is safe to assume that the Philippines is going to lose to Vietnam, and may even lose to Singapore. The U19 Azkals all look like true Filipinos with Filipino names, unfortunately this performance will justify the comments of other countries that we cannot do good in soccer unless we import mestizos from Europe and Germany.
ReplyDeleteEven if we inport those mestizos from all of europe Philippines will still be a minnow in southeast asia because PFF trains players 2 months only before the competition will begin and its a fact. They are there for compliance purpose so AFC will not sanction the PFF. Hiring fil foreigners is not the only answer to these woes, its about preparation in a longer amount of time...
DeletePreparation is not the issue! This seems to be such a massive misconception in the country when it comes to sports, that you need to have these extra long preparations prior to every tournament to be able to compete. It's wrong and stupid!!
DeleteIf you go strong for a month, that's more than enough prep! If you still flop, then it's about the lack of quality of the players to begin with and that is exactly the issue when it comes to Philippine football. The players are simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! They lack the basic skills and technical ability. If you get this U19 team to train for a year prior to the AFF tournament, they'd still flop!! Why? Because they're simply not good enough as individuals!!
Yep. Grassroots ang kailangan. Bopis ng nagsabi na longer prep. Lol. Gusto mo taon? Overaged na sila niyan. Kaya dapat palakasin training grounds. Teach football at a young age.
DeleteBakit sila ma overage Anonymous 14 September 2016 at 10:56? Halatang player ka lng at bata dahil pag early preparation ang sinasabi before sila nag 19 years old ay nag start na sila mag training as a team ng Philippines and maybe at U13 level sila nagsama sama.

Tanga!
If you're really following football, you'd know that the core of this team has been together since last year!!

Stay deluded all you want! But just for the record, walang youth national team sa buong mundo na nag tetrain bawat buwan buong taon!
Delete9 shots for Malaysia against 2 for Philippines. The stat says it all. It appears the team has no game plan at all, no build up play, content on playing counter and tentative with their passes. The players seems not fit - huffin' and puffin' everytime malaysia creates runs in the wings. They are content to sat back most of the game while pressure is building for them. No fire in the eyes of the Filipino players (which really irritating to the fans of football). Maybe they're just there for vacation purposes and bragging rights rather than duty and pride for our country. Btw, Malaysian team is handled by a European coach.
ReplyDeleteThe Azkals U19 is the future of Philippine soccer for the next 5 to 8 yrs. World Cup 2022 qualifying will greatly depend on the Azkals U19s. Looking back,
ReplyDeletePhilippine Soccer history
First International game.
Philippines 2–1 China
(Manila, Philippines; February 1, 1913)
Biggest win
Japan 2–15 Philippines
(Tokyo, Japan; May 10, 1917)
Thailand started international play in 1930s. Now we are close to the bottom of Asean soccer. Go figure.
Future of Philippine soccer? WTF!!! The best technical and thinking players are left behind because the coaching staff are betting on 'Bigger and taller players' while they come from well off family who can give 'some' financial support to mendicant coaches...
ReplyDeleteOK, The PFF took the U19 B team to Hanoi, while the A team is left in Manila. Why? because of social injustice and SIZE injustice combined with the coaches' corruption. Gee, you should submit this story to the sports editors of the Manila Times.
DeleteAbrooks its been know to all media in Manila but they won't cover much of this story because Football is not yet the number one sport in the country right now. In short it won't sell their pages but basketball do. But if you ask the football community regarding this issue i bet majority would say 'social injustice' and incompetence in the coaching staff...
DeleteThere is no "U19 B team". Plain and simple, the youth national teams of the Philippines are shit!!! End of!! No need to sugar coat it by saying it's a 'B' team!
DeleteBy the way you express your opinion, I hope you are either an exceptional soccer player or soccer coach. How long did you ever played soccer? Also the B team is usually part of the total player pool who normally does not go to tournaments and are basically used as practice squad.
