  1. Another foreigner again? This steals the job for the locals and its bad for the economy overall.

  3. this is good. many foreigners wanted to play here and i hope this will put pressure to all fil players to do good and match the skills that he has. but i think ufl has set limits for the number of foreigners to play in the field.

    1. I agree... i really hope that it will encourage or pressure pinoy booters to work harder and train more. Nakaugalian na kc ng mga pilipino na "ok na yan" instead of doing extra work or perfecting your stuff... i believe ufl already set a limit so its a very promising recruit. Now its time for the football fans to watch the game.

    2. 3~5years from now we can transfer prolific players from europe and south america.

    3. i hope also that every team can afford to provide striker coach, goalkeeping, passing, etc. this will also help for player development.

    4. Lahat ng clubs sa europe may foreign players

    5. this is better, unlike college basketball zealots who will shun foreigners due to "fear of local incompetence"
This will pressure up other teams to play better quality football and inspire pinoys who are in the ufl league right now, remember we have no grassroots pre-2010 and we have to import half-pinoys overseas who embraced football to speed up local progress

  4. kung wala naman talagang pag-asa ang sestema satin local football trend.i wish that one day we can have a filipino league seperate from ufl,2nd division, local boys, kahit maliit lang. heroes league.passion driven na liga dadami ang tatangkilik lalaki lang ito, open kahit inter-baranggay lang muna, 7 aside basta sigi-sigi lang.kahit mag hanap lang mga sponsor small business.tapos kung sino mag top sa cities.barannggay man.sila ang mag haharap. parang rebel league. its only an opinion. peace man.

    5. kailangan talaga ng pilipinas football and foreigners sa ngayon, para ma-speed up ang quality at kayang makipagsabayan overseas, lalo na't kasali na tayo sa AFC Cup (asian football clubs)
pero may limit sa field hanggang 5 foreigners lang at a time
pero sa entire roster walang foreigner limit

  5. i think ufl must also set requirement for coaching license for every team.

  6. i think this signup will bring good things to their cluc LMS FC, they are in UFL to compete, and not to settle for less, and also as of this time we're not only competing with local clubs, if you join AFC Cup with a bunch of locals agains hongkong club with 5 foreigners, maybe your club will loose by more than 3 goals margin, hell yeah, that thing wont favor your local players,

  7. if Loyola has the money to spare why not bring Javier Patino to our local league?

    1. Tell that to MVP. He owns this team and pays the Younghusband brothers quite a "fortune" should we say, to avoid them from signing and playing in overseas leagues and train young underprivileged kids with their younghusband football academy

  8. It's ok to have Foreign players to the team but the league should have limit on this so there is balance and harmony. The number of fans will not improve in the UFL as long as only a handful of locals are playing. Remember , Pinoys are emotionally attached to the image that they can relate or adore and one example of this is a homegrown player that did know and is dearly of their own. Look at the teleseryes, many people keep watching it even they have cable TV's because they love their own people at it in their heart. I hope UFL knows how to improve its marketing or it will dissolve later on if attendances don't improve because sponsors only put money there many people are watching. it also helps our local players to have more exposure and improve which could save huge amount of money for UFL Clubs if they balance the homegrowns number and foreigners. The fil-foreigners should also be regulated because not all of them are good enough.

    3. The only thing I can say to this and to any idea of limiting the number of foreigners is: patience! Local players just aren't on the same level yet as foreigners who experienced professional education. It will take atleast 5 more years for our local players to be at the same level as them, maybe even longer. And even then we can only produce a handful that have the skills to join the Azkals (like Amani). Until then the League has to improve it's style of play and that only works with fors and fil-fors! When a number of clubs can develope good youth players (Kaya, Pachanga and Global are on a good way) then we can talk about limiting the number of fors! Everything else will damage the league and will be pure actionism and a step back.

    4. Well at the end of the day may nagcocoment na kulang sa research punta ka rito sa Bacolod laging may local na liga dito supported by our local officials

    5. Magresearch nga kayo, may limit ang foreigners sa UFL, hanggang 5 foreigners on the field + 2 permanent resident players of 5-years (of no pinoy blood) sa field
so for example, sa field ganito ang set-up:
      5 foreigners
      2 permanent residents
      4 pinoys

  10. Can those people who compare the european leagues to the UFL please STFU! The UFL is a new AMATEUR league, with low class facilities, no ticket incomes, only a handful of teams have their own "stadium", level is quite low, and the there are only 2-3 teams who can afford signing players like this. So please STFU about thing you cant understand or dont want to understand. This isnt about Ronaldo or Messi. This is about the UFL thinking theyre a high quality professional league, which they are far from. Not even close.
