THE Medvil and Columbia teams hacked out victories in the resumption of the Acer Under-23 League at the Tionko grounds on Sunday.
Medvil beat Seagulll, 3-1, courtesy of goals from Ruelfred Napuran in the 40th, Francis Jay Abrasaldo in the 73rd nd Francis Philip Acala in the 84th minutes. Seagull's Francisco Iligan scored in the 14th to avert a shutout.
Columbia, meanwhile, defeated Ebocci via default as the latter failed to complete the seven players requirement at the start of the match Medvil and Columbia will play for the championship set on Friday at 3 p.m. in the tournament organized by the Davao Football Association (DfA).
Medvil earned 18 points to keep the lead in the team standing following its six-win, zero-draw and one-loss card while Columbia (5-1-1) took second place with 16 points.
Seagull (3-2-3) had 11 points, followed by Ebocci (2-2-3) with eight and Kilusang Magkaibigan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (KMMPC) (0-1-7) which finished with one point. (MLSA)
