Azkals set Vietnam ‘friendly’ on Oct. 3

By Cedelf P. Tupas

The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) is pulling out all the stops to make sure that the Azkals will be in top form for their two crucial away matches next month.
A friendly against Vietnam on Oct. 3 at Rizal Memorial Stadium has been arranged before the trips to Pyongyang, North Korea, and Manama, Bahrain.
It will mark the first time that the Azkals will meet the Vietnamese in a friendly. Their last three meetings have been in the AFF Suzuki Cup with the Azkals winning twice, including in 2010 when they pulled off the upset of the tournament against the then defending champion
Vietnamese side.

With the United Football League season already finished, the match gives the team, particularly the Manila-based players, an opportunity to sharpen up before the game against North Korea on Oct. 8 and Bahrain five days later.

  1. wasak nanaman ang pangarap ng Global FC sa RHB Singapore Cup

  2. mas realistic ang friendly na to against Viets kaysa sa Maldives.

Viets are known for their quickness and agility same sa NoKor...ang kaibahan lang mas matangkad ng konti ang Nokor.

sa next time sa home match sa Tashket against Uzbekistan...sana makipag friendly ang Azkals sa isang Club from Russian Premier league or against national squads ng Lithuania, Macedonia,Estonia, Kosovo and kahit Ukraine.

kahit massacre ang abutin nila sa friendly match ang importante yung confidence and experience na magagamit nila sa 2nd leg against Uzbekistan.

    1. Massacre In Friendly match against Vietnam? Not happening
Pero pag UEFA teams? Di naman gaano wag lang sloppy ang defense
Azkals is nearly just as close to quality as Vietnam and some lower-tier Arab teams
Azkals need friendlies against UEFA teams
Azerbaijan friendly last time and that's it?
Palami you are better than that Go find stronger teams and not weak AFC teams
