Very sad and a huge mistake before such an important tournament! The new coach will have very little time to instill his philosophy on the team, get to know the players AND the entire board with their slimy backstabbing politics!
Like it or not, our chances of winning anything this year have dramatically decreased.
Lol do we even have a system? He has been for a while yet we dnt even have a national identity. Only long ball. And since we use ovetseas playrrs. U even think they cn adjust?
Maybe ur one of those guys who became a football lover coz of yhusband bros. Even minnows have their own style of play which we dnt have ciz this is a UN team lmao
Anonymous11 January 2014 11:05 talks like the Philippines is a real powerhouse with a playing style. The only playing style of the Philippines is the long ball and park the bus. That changed with the entry of Weiss into a more attacking style which gave Palami massive hard-ons.
There is no such deal between DFB (Deutsche Fussball Bund) and PFF as to who and which nationality the next Philippine National Head coach will be, in case Michael Weiss will be changed.
This is not also true at all that you wrote here.. Michael Weiss is not recommended by the DFB, he applied for the job publish by the PFF in Spin. And don't write that the Philippines allow the german bums to play for you.. that is very ungrateful and ignorant..Beacuse it was the two German players who made it most possible that the Philippines won last year's Peace Cup Tournament in Asia.in the name of Patrick Reichelt and Stephan Schrock.. If you don't know things properly don't just write something..
If Hans Weiss was not part of the deal with the DFB then how come the PFF is not paying Weiss a single cent for his services? The DFB offered assistance to the PFF after the Miracle of Hanoi. This assistance came in the form of 5 million euros a year in exchange for a German coach. And why would the Germans give money and a coach for free aren't they in recession I heard you ask. Well, my ignorant friend... the Germans will do anything to give their coaches the best training... something that coaching in the German Division 6 cannot give. International exposure. Look at Weiss first assignment with the Philippines - Regional Qualifiers! Followed by World Cup Qualifiers! That is why Weiss does not coach to win, he is here to learn. Trying out outlandish tactics against dangerous opponents when the Philippines should be defending... think about it.
Our success in the Suzuki Cup cost me my job. We were knocked out in the semi-finals by Indonesia - both legs were played in Jakarta, because we weren't ready to host such a big game - but our run highlighted some of the problems we faced. The German Football Federation came forward and offered five million euros worth of aid, training camps, and so on. And they wanted their own coach.
Taken from Simon McMenemy's interview with football365. Weiss is part of the DFB deal.
That sounds plausible. So he is like a coach in training and with him are a list of strategies to be used in certain situations that he ticks when used such as full attack against superior team like Kuwait. Now I see it. LOL.
Seriously yes I agree with you Weiss is part of DFB package.
As to Brian Reid: a lot of Global FC players are not happy or convinced with his training/coaching method and his personality and relationship to players during the time when he was coaching Global FC..Note that a lot of the national team players comes from Global FC.. If Brian Reid will take over, then trouble is already programmed..
I don´t know why you all talking about so bad about teh abroad born players? They all are proud to be a Azkal and they all have a Filippino parentage. So it´s ok , be proud of them ! They all make a good job in the last years , i think many country´s are jealous of the Philippines. They would be happy with this problems :-D
it's a win - win situation for palami and pff. if the team fails, they'll use the new coach as an excuse. if the team succeeds, they'll take credit for making the right decision. if only palami didn't raise the fans' expectations so much.

For me, we shud limit fil-fors. They should complement the locals and not the main focus. The team composition is scandalous enough. 100% imported. 6 locals to 5 imports will be fair enough
Being on the national team isn't a right, it's a privilege! Therefore, you don't pick random "locals" just for the sake of it especially when it's clear they're not good enough at this point in time!!
Locals will never be as good as the foreigners but even if we have those fil shams, we still cant win right? We have all europe team raped by UAE 4- 0. WTF is that? So just stick with the locals. Just take the best of the best of those fil-Europeans
Dont feed the basketball troll guys with their off topic and ignorant comments here. Whenever a basketball troll butts in with the "limit the filforeign players" argument, remind them that Gilas hired a 7 foot American to make them competitive. Keep reminding them that until they fuck off to the beauty salon.
They followed basketball which had a true American to man the slot and mostly fil-am players. Without the Fil-ams your basketball team would not have had any success. Even your league is littered with Fil-ams.
Lol azkals all import still playing in afc whatever cup for lowest newbies in the weakest confederation. gilas is in the world cup already. If that is not scandalous enough.
Currently , the Philippines NT can not play without the foreigners they need them to develop the NT! So i follow the UFL since a few years and i think its a fantastic development and in a few years you will see, a lot of home grown players will get a call up for the NT. You have a lot of good Talents in the Philippines! But currently , if you will win a titel , You need the foreigners like Schröck , ....they have a lot of international experience and you need this in the tournaments. And it is ok to see some foreigners in the NT. Look at Germany the have also some abroad born players in the NT like Podolski , Klose or Neustädter. look at Italy they have Thiago Motta , Giuseppe Rossi or look at England they have Wilfried Zaha. The same is in France or look at Equatorial Guinea, 95 % of the players are born in different countries. Look at Pakistan , Afghanistan and Guam they all have the same situation and they all are proud of the NT! I don´t understand your problems !
Its gonna be nierras. FOr sure, his offspring will be captain lmao
ReplyDeleteNierras cannot coach the MNT because he has no AFC 'A' License'
DeleteHe does not even have a credit card. LOL.
DeleteNierras? WTF? hahaha. . hes a joke, i dont know why he's still around.
ReplyDeleteNierras? hahahaha tang-ina ndi nga nya maayos yung STALO FC na na club kya umaalis yung mga players nya hahaha

ReplyDeleteMc menemy ibalik sa pwesto.
ReplyDeleteMcMenemy is being offered a job as manager of Maldives national team. McMenemy does not want to work for Palami and co especially Ace Bright.

ReplyDeleteNot. PFF will have a pick of inexperienced German coaches.
DeleteYou guys.... the new coach will be a German. That is part of the deal with the DFB.

ReplyDeleteBrian Reid to coach the Philippines? Not gonna happen. If they do that then DFB will stop transmitting the 5 million euros. It will be a German coach.

ReplyDeleteThe only thing that's scandalous is you thinking that we should limit the foreign based players!! It also depends what you definition of "local" is...
DeleteMajority of them are rejects bro and old and they have plenty of opportunuty in their first world motherland. Locals shud be protected
Delete"Rejects"... lol!!
DeleteAgain, define "local" and also define "reject".

ReplyDeleteThe fil fors are brought to raise our level not replace locals. Rome was not built in one day.

DeleteBut do u have a thriving football scene? Do locals line up watch ufl? None. That shud be the objctive of football.
