UFL Cup on Aksyon TV

Division Two squad Union Internacional Manila hopes to continue its surprising run in the when it takes on guest squad General Trias Internacional FC to start the knockout stages of the United Football Cup on Tuesday at the Emperador Stadium.
Union will clash with General Trias at 5 p.m. before the match between Pachanga Diliman FC and Forza FC at 8 p.m. Both matches will be aired live on AksyonTV, the sports and news-related channel of TV5.
Union, which was runner-up in the second division last season, stunned the competition by sweeping its three matches in Group B, including a 4-3 upset of Kaya FC.
Standing in Union’s way in the round-of-16 is General Trias, which made a Cinderella run to the Cup quarterfinals last year. The squad, however, has had a lackluster campaign so far, winning one and losing two of its matches in Group D.
In the second game, Division One squad Pachanga takes on second division side Forza.
Pachanga finished second in Group A with seven points, while Forza ended up at second place in Group D with six points.
Meanwhile, the UFL is also encouraging fans to bring their donations during the matches for the victims of super typhoon “Yolanda,” which ravaged the Philippines last week.
The league, through a partnership with LBC, is asking fans to bring cash and in-kind donations such as water, non-perishable food, blankets, tents, medicine, tarpaulins and mats.
