THE RP 14-Under team got on a good start in the Asian Football Confederation Festival of Football in Malaysia with two draws.
The RP team, drew Malaysia (1-1) and Myanmar (1-1) with both goals created by Cebuanos.
Ricky Dakay Jr. found an open Koko Gaduel, who was brought down in the box, leading to an RP goal.
Gaduel also earned a penalty against Myanmar.
According to Mabols Medalla, who is with the team, no champion will be declared in the tournament.
“The AFC calls it an ‘irregular match fixtures’ because some teams can play as much as 10 games, while some can have
nine games only,” Medalla said in an e-mail to Sun.Star Cebu.
Medalla wrote that the six-week training of the team has paid dividends.
