PAREF-Springdale A bagged the Boys 14 title of the Cebu International School (CIS) Friendship Cup 2010 after beating Mandaue Technical Institute (MTI), 1-0, at the CIS football grounds.
Both squads were on attack mode at the start of the match but both couldn’t find the net becasue of solid defense from both ends.
Striker Renko Gaudiel ended the impasse as he broke away in the waning minutes for the lone goal of the match and a repeat win over MTI.
Paref-Springdale A went undefeated in the elimination and also defeated MTI, 1-0.
On the other hand, the Paref-Springdale A also advanced to the finals of the Boys 12 division after a 3-0 win of ML Canduman in the semifinals.
They were set to play San Roque FC (SRFC) in the championships yesterday.
SRFC earned a trip to the finals after edging out Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC), 2-1, in penalty shootout in the semifinals.
SRFC also scored a win against Subangdaku FC (SFC), 1-0, for the title in the Girls 17.
