THE Davao City Under-14 team clashes against Manila at 4 p.m. today in the National Women Selection Tournament 2010 at the Panaad Park and Sports Stadium in Bacolod City.
Davao's under-19 squad was still playing against Iloilo as of yesterday presstime.
The tournament is a round-robin format and games will be played in three periods.
Davao Football Association (DFA) secretary Erwin Protacio, who is head of delegation, said, "The first period is 20 minutes with the first eleven players not being substituted. The winner gets two points. In another 20-minute second period, those who haven't played in the first period must play and the winner in the period will earn one point. The best players who can be substituted will play in the 30-minute third period where the winner gets three points."
The U-14 event serves as selection basis for the Philippine team seeing action in the AFC U-13 Festival of Football in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in June.
Louise Gabrielle del Fierro, Mary Joy Indac, Hannah Belle Sindao, Maria Trishia Galvez, Allyn Ravanes, Angelou Rheeza Caninado, Nina Ricci Yanto, Annabelle Anter, Sara-a Elizabeth Jikiri, Janna Raizel Barcemo, Bea Angela Dongon, Bea Panganiban, Joannah Marie Adao, Nina Alexi Arrieta, Patricia Erika Francisco, Rochel Ann Icoy, Michaela Louise Co and Camille Faith Aringo compose the city's under-14 team. Team manager is Michael Co.
Davao's under-14 and under-19 teams' stints in the bootfest are backed up by the parents, team managers, sponsors, and DFA.

I NOTICED THAT THE TEAMS COMPETING ARE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVES OF THIER RESPECTIVE PROVINCIAL ASSOCIATION.
ReplyDeleteMANILA IS NOT A PROVINCIAL MEMBER. THE NCR REGION IS UNDER THE NCRFA. THE NCRFA IS NOT AWARE OF SENDING ANY REPRESENTATIVE AS THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INVITATION FROM THE PFF.
Why are there so many ff's...? let's just play football!
ReplyDeleteRIFA represented the U 14 for manila girls...no elimination for NCR?
ReplyDeletedude, chill, who cares about being so official. these girls just want to play football. besides, manila ended up winning the whole thing.
