Ceres-Negros FC continues its PFL campaign when it meets Global Cebu FC on June 1 at the PFF Training Center in Carmona, Cavite. The Busmen look to finish its third game in eight days before the FIFA International break.
The Negros squad aims to continue its winning ways when it faces a new-look Global squad who dropped their first assignment against Green Archers United last May 29.
A lone goal from Christian Zubiri was the difference as Global lost a tightly contested battle at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. Ceres-Negros shot down Philippine Air Force FC 5-0 in the game prior to register their first win in the league.
Curt Dizon and Bienvenido Maranon were the goal scorers in the match which saw three straight goals on the final twenty minutes after an altercation that resulted to three red cards for both teams.
The revitalized Global squad now features former Ceres-Negros players in Lemuel Unabia, Jorrel Aristorenas, and Jerry Barbaso while it added the likes of Levi Fernandez-Lynch, Kouichi Belgira, and Nelson Gasic.
With the match set as the final league game before the ASEAN Semis, Coach Risto Vidakovic will have the whole squad at his disposal except for OJ Porteria who will serve a one game suspension.
Kickoff is set at 330pm in the San Lazaro grounds with the match streamed live at www.PFLtv.ph. A win by the Busmen would put them in temporary first place in the league.
