MIKE OTT: I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SEASON

Mike Ott is one of the many big names to sign for Ceres-Negros this year. The current Azkals player is looking forward to the new season with his new club who will start their campaign in a few days time.
The younger Ott had a few practices in the bag after arriving with his teammates in Bacolod last January 10 and the Philippine champions already left an impression after a couple of days.
“Ceres here (in the Philippines) is one of the best clubs, last year they were the best club,” said the 22-year old attacker. “They have a good team here, so many good players. The coaching staff is very good. Everything about the club is very good, the standard is very high”
The Filipino international is setting a high standard for himself especially now with the new challenge of continental competition. “I wanna play a good season. Like now in the AFC, I want to play good in the first games but I’m not looking so far ahead. I’m looking at every week to get fit and prepare myself to be in a very good shape.”
Ott is also excited to work at club level with his older brother Manny who has been a veteran of the squad since 2014.  “We have a chance to play together like in the Azkals and that’s very good,” said the former Angthong FC player.
“I’m looking forward to give my quality to my new club. Play together and give everything for the club. I’m looking forward to the season,” he added
Ott doesn’t have to wait long for his debut as Ceres-Negros is set to play Shan United in Yangon, Myanmar on January 16.

  1. Wow. The downfall of Mike Ott lol.

What was a very promising teen, scoring and assisting for fun in youth teams of 1860. He was even touted to be playing in the Bundesliga eventually.

He made the decision to leave for Nurnberg. Never made the breakthrough with his perfoemances not matchinh his 1860 days. Injuries also screwed him over to the point he moved to Thailand's 3rd or 4th division!

Now hes gonna play domestically in a league with a lot of uncertainty and just overall low quality. What a waste!
