UFL RESUMES WITH 2ND DIVISION MATCHES THURSDAY; ACTION HEATS UP THIS WEEKEND

Action in the United Football League resumes Thursday with two second division matches at Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The league went on a break as the Philippine National Games used the RMS as its main venue for the football matches.
Laos FC, which went undefeated in six matches in the first round, battles Forza FC in the second match at 7:45 p.m.
Another crucial clash is set at 5:15 p.m. when JP Voltes squares off with Pasargad.
The first division matches resume this weekend with several important games lined up.
Leader Ceres-La Salle tries to close in on the title when it faces Global FC on Sunday at 7:45 p.m.
The match between streaking Green Archers and Socceroo will serve as the appetizer of the Ceres-Global duel.
On Saturday, it will be Kaya facing Pachanga Diliman, before Stallion and Loyola clash at 7:45 p.m.
As it stands, Ceres only needs 13 points from its last six matches to secure the title and a berth in the AFC Cup.
The winner of the UFL Cup will also gain a playoff for an AFC Cup berth. But if Ceres also wins the UFL Cup, the second place team in the league will gain the playoff spot.
