PACHANGA-DILIMAN held Global FC to a stunning 1-1 draw that kept the defending champion from closing in on pacesetting Ceres-La Salle on Monday night in the United Football League at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The side mostly made of former University of the Philippines standouts almost pulled off an upset as it led for most of the match after Jinggoy Valmayor struck just eight minutes into the match.
Jason de Jong salvaged the stalemate for Global with a late conversion two minutes into second-half stoppage time.
Still, Global failed to get maximum points and moved down to third spot with 23 points after 11 matches.
Pachanga, on the other hand, stayed in eighth after hiking its point total to eight points in 12 outings.
Stallion FC moved up to second on the table after a 4-0 romp over Socceroo.
Nate Alquiros fired a brace, while Balot Doctora and Jordan Mintah added a goal apiece for the Stallions, who improved to 24 points, although they’ve have played one more match than Global.
Socceroo was left stuck in ninth spot with four points.
