  1. The question is , can they win one? I know the coaching staff prefer more sizes and strength than technical and speedy players. Tingnan natin ang galing nyo Coach Bro. Mari and Chieffy Caligdong...

    1. hindi na kailangan itanong kung mananalo sila ng kahit isa...

the best question is if they can score a single goal against Australia or force a draw sa Singapore, cambodia or myanmar

    2. walang guarantee if they make it as champions or not, kaya nga competition coz you have to fight for it!

but i"ll answer you your best question...yes they would score and make a win! hit me back here if they won't

    3. size, strength, being technical and speed are needed to be a well rounded player. the U16 boys have all of those. the question is are they bigger, stronger, faster and more technical than our neighboring ASEAN countries. lets wait and see. ilang tulog nalang!

    1. your local FA are the one responsible to choose the boys who are qualified for tryouts to the national team. the PFF will give notice to the local FA then your local football association will be responsible to choose who will they send for tryouts.

    1. Huwag na kasi isali mga abugado sa mga sports nsa. Basta abugado bibigyan ng mataas na katungkulan hindi naman sila nagparticipate sa sports noong kabataan. Basta pag graduate ng ateneo biglang isasali sa pff or bap or poc. Buset mga abugagagogagogago na yan

    2. They actually published the tryouts info last May or June. Of course mostly it won't be picked up by the ones that are more interested, passionate and talented.
Most kids are from Visayas and Mindanao
If they have a "chosen team" already they would mainly come from Luzon and NCR. Don't liken football to MSM darlings basketball and volleyball

    3. let me answer it for you mr jojo. The PFF is not hiding anything from you or from the anybody. their is no such thing as open tryout on the U14, U16, U19, U23. your local FA is the one responsible to choose their best players who are qualified to tryout for the national team.let your kid or any kid prove himself on your local tournaments first then maybe your local FA would recommend him if he is that good for tryouts.

  4. The higher ranked coaches were just told by the PFF that there is a tryout and the coaches just posted in their wall. This is still a closed door tryout IMHO.
Btw, those shorter boys were ship out during the training camp while the bigger and taller ones was left behind and I know many of those biggies are not that technical and have excellent ball control skills but its just the PFF philosophy right now - "Bigger is better" ,, Am I right Bro Mari and Chieffy?

    1. All of the kids chosen were the cream of the crop. If one of your kids was the one sent home, just continue to support his dream. Let him know that he is one of the best players in the country at his age considering he made it to the training pool.

      Delete
    2. Are you sure all of them are cream of the crop? or are you just the puppet of lame PFF corruption? Tell me kung wlang palakasan dyan? Are you sure this team can make a win at least? Are you sure size and strenght are main priorities because you typee it first before technical and speed?

      Delete
    3. i am not anyhow connected to the PFF so i do not know about the corruption, same with the palakasan. Yes i believe the team can at least make a win.and all of them are the best of what you can get for the born 2000 kids in the Philippines.i do not know about your palakasan since most of this kids are not even sons of rich parents. they so happen to be talented and trained with all their heart to be on the national team.

it doesn't matter what i type first, if you wanna type speed and technical before strength and size, go ahead it won't change the meaning. what ever floats your boat!

    4. We'll see about your talented team and "train with all their heart" after a week.

    5. its seems that you hate the U16 national team so much. cheer up bro! if you or your son didn't make it, their is still a barangay football festival for you to show of your skill. not eveyone is meant for the national team. their is still life after being cut or not included! don't be to hard on yourself! get a Life!

    6. I didn't hate the U16 I just hate the system and the manner of selection process. Who would immediately love them when this batch was still in U14 last 2013 when they only won once against Brunei? Who would love the PFF like that? You know its just a show of face for PFF to every AFF or AFC tournament because the budget is there while there preparations are minimal. I wonder why you love them so much...

      Delete
    7. it's a competition, you don't expect to win all the time. its true they won only once in AFC U14. but they did better in Japan.(jenesis 2.0 tournament)....for your info more than half of the original U14 has been replaced with better players. since they are still young and their is room for a lot of improvements. so every kid has to excel or get replaced...that goes on for all the batches of the national team. for your info again they train only as a team for 1 and a half month before every tourny since the kids study at different schools and live on different islands....as far as i know their were more kids who could help the team but he got injured( broke collar bone) and the other one i think, school didn't give him clearance to play....to help you stop wondering why i love them so much. it's because they are Filipinos and they are my country men. and as kids i admire their dedication and sacrifices......same goes to the U23 who never won a game in the SEA games but we all now they were the best at Filipino football at their age bracket. hope that answers your wondering mind. Mabuhay ang PILIPINAS!

    8. You talking about genesys 2.0 Japan? I'm sorry to tell you that most teams who went there are "B" Teams (only the Philippines send there A team) because its a non AFF or AFC tournament and besides they know Japan only scouts opponents so they could measure there grassroots against the ASEAN sides. Talkin' bout how shallow your knowledge about Philippine Football and beyond. Your mind is a wondering kind not me...

      Delete
    9. i am not arguing who has the better knowledge on Philippine Football. If you want to be the genius guy behind the keyboard, so be it. But one thing is for sure, the U16 boys playing in Cambodia is the best you can get from Filipino Football. You are not even half as good as this boys. Don't be a sore looser. You or your kid may not have made it in football but you'll be good in some other things like being a HATER!

    10. I'm not a hater I'm just a critic unlike you who believes in everything the PFF will tell you. And I have no kid in the U16 unlike you I guess your a wimpy Parent believing only what you have seen and heard in this present. Your vision and your analysis of the present U16 and its 11 coaching staff is pathetic. You should educate yourself with AFC coaching course so you will know what every team needs to be able to win internationally.

    11. tell it to the marines Mr Hater!

    12. When people have no other ideas to tell they immediately rely on bashing. What a pity you shallow thinker!

      Delete
    14. a critic is different from a hater. but your special! your rolled into one, A HATER CRITIC! the youth football of the Philippines doesn't need a guy like YOU.

      Delete
    15. Sorry ignorant people, kayo ang utak talangka dahil pag critic hater na kaagad. Wla pang na achieve ang youth system natin kaya I criticized them but not the players.

    16. i humbly concede. it's just i don't give up till i see the result.i always try to stay positive till proven wrong. and that i admit.

    17. O ,three straight looses na! You still believe this is the best 16 players of the country? mag coaching course muna kayo at mag analyze ng maraming games para matoto kayo...

  5. I wonder if the coaches really had anything to do with picking the team. I have more respect for Chieffy than to believe that he picked the players. I believe he's just managing whoever was given him.

    ReplyDelete

    1. the coaches were responsible for picking the players. the players had to tryout and fight for their spot in order to be chosen to represent the country. even the the former players who used to be in the U14 had no guarantee unless they prove their self. the team was not just given to the coaches. the kids were chosen because of talent and hard work!
