Striker Rufo Sanchez of champion Stallion Sta.Lucia topped the list of individual awardees of the 2013 United Football League.
After scoring 18 goals to lead the league, Sanchez bagged the Golden
Boot and the Golden Ball trophy, which is equivalent to the Most
Valuable Player award.
Since signing with Stallion in August last year, Sanchez has become
instrumental in transforming the squad into a perennial contender in the
UFL. Stallion achieved an impressive feat this season after winning
both the Cup and the League competitions.
Meanwhile, Roland Sadia of runner-up Global FC clinched the Golden Glove trophy as the best goalkeeper in Division One.
The Loyola Meralco Sparks, who finished at third place, took home the Fair Play award.
Division Two champion Team Socceroo also clinched some awards as well.
Team Socceroo striker Lee Jeong Woo, who led the second division with
14 goals, won the Golden Boot and Golden Ball trophies while goalkeeper
Seo Seung Seok bagged the Golden Glove in Division Two.
Manila All-Japan, meanwhile, won the Fair Play award for the second straight year.
